The Government’s Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy, outlines plans to increase support services to assist women and girls who have experienced violence, including domestic abuse, sexual violence and FGM. The strategy focuses on prevention, provision of services and partnership working to overcome the key barriers.

This highly interactive course, chaired by leading VAWG specialist Davina James-Hanman, will provide guidance on effectively implementing the new strategy and showcases initiatives focused on preventing violence before it occurs.

Through workshops and highly interactive sessions, delegates will learn how to prevent VAWG through education and community engagement, adopting clear information sharing protocols and effectively working in partnership. Delegates will take back an action plan to help implement the latest guidance and embed lessons learned within their institution.
