Overview
At a cost of £2.3 billion a year, and with an increasingly ageing population, health and social care professionals must ensure that they are fully compliant with the new Falls Quality Standard, to be published in January 2017. Through the use of a successful falls prevention strategy, the Department of Health has estimated that the number of falls could be reduced by 15 to 30 per cent.
Delegates on this Preventing Falls Among Older People course, chaired by Professor Cameron Swift will leave with the tools to develop an effective fall service and intervention strategy.
This course will provide delegates with the confidence to successfully engage with those at risk and the capability to implement procedures, to help reduce the number of falls in elderly patients.
