Overview
With allocations from the Scottish Government’s new £120 million Pupil Equity Fund now announced as part of the Scottish Attainment Challenge, our Raising Attainment in Schools course explores how schools and local authorities can most effectively utilise funding to deliver targeted interventions which reduce the impact of deprivation on educational outcomes.
On this course delegates will learn from primary and secondary schools and local authorities that have implemented successful approaches to accelerating improvements in literacy and numeracy, working collaboratively with other agencies and reducing the attainment gap for disadvantaged learners.
Delegates will work closely with our chair Frank Crawford, former Chief Inspector of Education in Scotland, and leave the day with an action plan to develop a whole school approach to closing the attainment gap in their school.
