Overview
The Department for Education’s ‘Mental Health and Behaviour in Schools’ report, released in March 2015, states that 1 in 10 pupils have a clinically diagnosed mental health disorder.
As the number of pupils suffering from mental health illnesses continues to rise, it has become essential for independent schools to support emotional wellbeing and prevent poor mental health becoming a barrier to achievement.
The Supporting Independent School Pupils’ Mental Wellbeing training course will help delegates to overcome the challenges surrounding mental health in independent schools and comply with the legal duty of care.
This one-day interactive course will provide a unique opportunity for delegates to develop a personalised action plan to support pupils’ mental health and embed excellence within their institution.
