Overview

Persistent disruptive behaviour has been identified as the main reason for the twelve per cent rise in the number of exclusions according to the latest Department for Education figures.

The rise in disruptive behaviour has been a key reason in the increased number of teachers leaving the profession and creates unsafe environments that are not consistent with productive learning.

It is vital that schools develop whole school strategies to reduce permanent and fixed-period exclusions by supporting teaching staff to combat both low-level and high-level disruptions quickly and effectively.

Join, John D’Abbro, current member of the government’s behaviour advisory panel, and take away effective techniques for managing behaviour which will allow you and your colleagues to focus on teaching and learning.
