Overview

The Mental Capacity (Amendment) Bill sets out that the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) will be replaced by Liberty Protection Safeguards. This legislation will seek to streamline the assessment process and extend the provision of Liberty Protection Safeguards to any health and social care setting, giving an increased role to the NHS and care homes in arranging their own assessments and authorising Liberty Protection Safeguards.

This Practical Guide to Liberty Protection Safeguards course, gives you the necessary tools and information to prepare for the upcoming changes.

By fully understanding the key changes brought about by the Bill, you can learn how to manage the transition from DoLS to the new system of Liberty Protection Safeguards. Leave with the knowledge and confidence to manage the new process.
