COVID-19 Safety at Our Events

This guidance has been updated on 26th July 2021 based on government announcements from the 12th July confirming that all events can take place from the 19th of July. Please continue to monitor this page for our latest advice and information ahead of the event.

Running safe events for our communities is our priority

We are highly committed to the health and safety of our delegates and the wider community. We have adopted the NHS COVID Pass for venues and events in England to ensure a safe event for everyone involved:

NHS COVID Pass

We ask all attendees to bring with them (either on their phone or as a printed copy) a copy of their NHS COVID Pass valid on the day of the course. You will be asked to show your pass every time you enter the event space so please keep it to hand at all times during the course.

How to get one?

You can get an NHS COVID Pass, obtained most easily via the NHS App, if you have been double vaccinated 14 days prior to the event or you have a negative LTF or PCR test within 48 hours of creating the pass. You can find more information on the NHS COVID Pass for events here.

Additional Onsite Safety Measures

Before the Event:

CHECK YOUR EMAILS!

Please pay careful attention to all communications sent out from our event team regarding the course and registration process. Mark us a ‘safe sender’ so these important updates come straight into your inbox. You can find instructions on how to do this here.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

Check out our agenda, the location of the venue and plan any meetings in advance to get the most out of the event in the safest way possible.

SYMPTOMS CHECK

If you have a temperature of higher than 37.5°C or any COVID-19 symptoms, we politely request that you refrain from visiting our event. You can find out more about the symptoms for Covid-19 here.

DOWNLOAD BOTH NHS APPS

Please ensure you have downloaded the NHS COVID-19 contract tracing app AND the NHS App if you plan to use it to display your NHS COVID Pass on entry to the event.

During the Event:

FACE-COVERINGS

Face masks are optional. We will have face masks available at the registration areas for every attendee if you forget your own.

SANITISING STATIONS

For the purpose of personal hygiene, hand sanitiser stations will be provided but please bring your own personal supply if possible. Please sanitise your hands upon entry to the event and after touchpoints.

ENHANCED CLEANING MEASURES

To ensure the safety of all, the venue has introduced enhanced deep-cleaning measures, with an additional focus on high-frequency touchpoints, such as lifts, counters, toilets, doors, seating, meeting areas and handrails.

After the Event:

TRACK AND TRACE

We are passionate about ensuring the safety of our delegates. In order to keep everyone safe, please have the NHS Track and Trace app installed on your mobile device. Using the app will allow for the local authorities to contact you if there is any need to. Please ensure you give accurate information throughout the registration process.

GIVE US YOUR FEEDBACK

Tell us how we did by completing the feedback survey that will be sent to you, by email, after the course. We highly value the feedback of all our delegates and would love to hear from you on anything you enjoyed, anything we can improve on and also how you found the safety measures at our event.

Our COVID-19 Safety Plan reflects the requirements of the UK government, the local authorities, our industry association, AEO (Association of Event Organisers) and the venue at which the event is hosted. As new developments arise over the coming months, the approach will continue to adapt, and we will keep the community informed of any changes. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to support you.
