Chao Zheng

Lecturer of Statistics - University of Southampton

Chao is a Lecturer of Statistics at the School of Mathematics Sciences and Southampton Statistical Sciences Research Institute (S3RI) at the University of Southampton, where he teaches and supervises students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research broadly includes developing statistical theories, methodologies and algorithms to solve problems in large-scale and complex data analysis. He has also collaborated with people from public sectors, hospitals, and technology companies to develop cutting-edge statistical methodologies to solve real-world problems.

Previously, he worked as a postdoc at the Statscale programme based in Lancaster University. He obtained PhD in Statistics from the University of Melbourne and BSc in Mathematics from Peking University.
