Linda Pialek

Head of the European Research Team - Kiel University

Linda Piálek is currently Head of the European Research team at Kiel University in Germany and the former Head of Research Services at the University of Oxford.

At Oxford, Linda was responsible for increasing the profile of European funding within Oxford and for influencing research policy at the European level.

Linda represented Oxford in the European Research Project Managers community of the League of European Research Universities (LERU), which has become a key partner in the negotiations of the FP7 successor programme, Horizon 2020. She is also a member of the UKRO focus group on preparing the model grant agreements for Horizon 2020 and regularly participates in the European Commission’s official Participant Portal External User Group, which reviews and discussed the EC’s IT tools for research proposal submissions and project management.
