Terms & Conditions
1. Description
1.1 This order form constitutes a legally binding agreement.
1.2 These are the terms and conditions (“Course Terms”) that govern registration of and attendance at a Course owned, operated or provided by Partnership Media Group Ltd (PMG) or the brand Understanding ModernGov (“UMG). These Course Terms are in addition to our Standard Terms and Conditions available from us on request and shall be deemed to incorporate any further terms and conditions relating to a particular Course as notified to you in writing (“Specific Terms”). In the course of any inconsistency between these Course Terms, the Standard Terms and Conditions and any Specific Terms, the Specific Terms shall take precedence, followed by the Course Terms then the Standard Terms and Conditions
1.3 Your attendance and participation at a Course, and your enjoyment of any other benefits associated with a Course, is conditional on you complying with these Course Terms. Any additional terms and conditions that are posted on specific websites and/or publications of any group company in relation to any Course shall be deemed incorporated into these Course Terms.
2. Payment Terms
2.1 Accounts must be settled in full within 30 days of the date of this order, or 30 days preceding the Course whichever is sooner.
2.2 This is a binding contract so should the client not pay within the required payment period then PMG reserves the right to charge interest in any outstanding debt and seek recompense from the client through the usual channels.
2.3 PMG reserves the right to change the agreed payment terms and request up to 100% of the charges due within seven days of confirmation of booking if the client’s credit check does not meet minimum criteria and will be required to be settled via credit card/bacs payment.
3. Cancellation
3.1 This order may be cancelled within seven days of confirmation; notice must be given in writing and by Recorded Delivery. There are no other circumstances in which cancellations will be accepted.
3.2 Date Changes can only be made up to 45 days prior to each course taking place and will incur a date change fee of 33% of the course value. We cannot guarantee the date can be changed and this option is subject to availability. A new course date must be confirmed within 7 days of notification to change the date and the course should run no later than 3 months after the original course date. Changing the course date less than 45 days prior to the course will incur the full course fee.
3.3 We reserve the right to change the trainer. If the trainer cannot make the required date due to an emergency, illness or some other factor we will use our best endeavours to find a replacement. If we cannot find a suitable replacement PMG retain the right to reschedule the course for a time that suits the client within up to 3 months at no penalty to us.
4. Pre-Course Materials
4.1 Should the client, during the pre-course consultation, require us to supply written materials, internal policy documents and/or case-studies in order to enhance our content to meet their training need it is the client’s responsibility to provide it to us no later than 2 weeks prior to the course. If PMG does not get the materials by that date, we cannot be held accountable for the relevance of the case-studies used for the purposes of the course.
4.2 When you share with us contact details of people attending courses you procure from us, those contact details will be added to our CRM unless specifically requested not to do so. We may collect and process the following data about those delegates: title, job title, name, address, email address, telephone numbers, and such other contact details as we require to support the delivery of the course. The lawful basis we use for this processing is legitimate Interest. Where we use legitimate interest, we have completed a Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA) as a business to establish that our legitimate use and processing of your data does not compromise your rights and freedoms as an individual.
5. Date confirmations
5.1 In case any of the course dates are TBC, those dates must be confirmed in writing within a maximum of 14 days from the date of this order. If dates aren’t confirmed by that time, Understanding ModernGov cannot guarantee it will find suitable and available dates that are convenient to the client within the defined delivery period, but payment terms will still apply.
6. Course recordings
6.1 Recording of sessions is not permitted for any reason at our in person or our virtual sessions unless expressly agreed before bookings.
