The effects of working from home since COVID-19 are important to acknowledge and increase the need for those in the workplace to recognise others may be struggling with demands of home and work life, working longer hours and feelings of isolation.

  • How emotional intelligence can dramatically improve cooperation amongst your colleagues

10:15 - 11:00 Self-Awareness: The Key to Emotional Intelligence

In this session delegates will spend time recognising their own emotions and how they affect their own thoughts and behaviour, considering their strengths and weaknesses, and developing greater self-confidence.

  • Through use of a self-scoring tool, LeaderShaper, you can understand the way you apply your emotional intelligence style, preferences, and behaviour

  • Determine how to effectively, and appropriately, apply your knowledge and feelings in a given situation

  • Explore self-limiting beliefs that you and others may have, and consider the impact they have

11:15 - 11:45 Social Awareness: Develop Strategies for Different Personality Types

  • Discover how personality types form emotional intelligence

  • Analyse the importance of empathy in demonstrating social awareness

  • Apply tests to discover areas of intrapersonal and interpersonal abilities that require development

11:45 - 13:00 Relationship Management: Develop Strategies for Responding to the Emotions of Others

  • Explore the core strategies for developing more appropriate responses to the emotions of others

  • Being more open-minded and agreeable; to improving empathy skills; to reading people’s body language more clearly; to seeing the effect they have on others; and practising being emotionally honest

14:00 - 14:45 Leadership Styles: Demonstrating Emotionally Intelligent Leadership

Delegates will participate in an interactive workshop that explains the six leadership styles and discuss their own personal strengths and weaknesses

  • Discover a range of leadership styles and in which circumstances to apply them

  • Explore areas of your leadership style that require further improvements

14:45 - 15:30 Coaching Style: Apply Emotional Intelligence to your Company’s Climate and Culture

  • Assist employees to improve their performance by building long term capabilities

  • Impact on the climate and culture of your organisation by developing a coaching leadership style

  • Apply emotional intelligence in linking long term goals to daily work

  • Consider how you will apply your new Emotional Intelligence thinking in the workplace.

  • Thinking intelligently with emotions, whilst perceiving, expressing, understanding and managing emotions in a professional and effective manner

15:30 - 16:00 Demonstrate Emotionally Intelligent Leadership

  • Develop coaching techniques to improve how you manage difficult conversations

  • Develop a ten-point plan to take back to your organisation and improve EI

  • Assess areas for workplace improvements

  • Learn how to manage change effectively

  • Create efficient and successful teams through effective leadership
