Introducing Mark Channon

Mark Channon is a trainer and coach in memory and high performance, working with a wide range of clients, from CEOs, managers, presenters and senior civil servants, to doctors, lawyers and actors.

Mark originally trained as an actor, before becoming one of the first 8 people in the world to become a Grand Master of Memory in the 1995 World Memory Championships. He has worked as a trainer and coach for over 15 years, running seminars for organisations such as Rothschild, Lincoln National and the BBC in Memory, Mind Mapping and Creativity.

He is also a Product Manager for the BBC and has created several shows, including a memory gameshow. In 2019, he appeared as the on-air Memory Coach for Channel 4's ‘Can I Improve My Memory?‘. Most recently Mark has worked with Gok Wan, Valarie Singleton and Joey Essex on Channel 4’s Memory Show.

He trained as an actor at Arts Educational Schools, London, and has worked in the West End, on national tours, throughout the UK, at the National Theatre and on television. Throughout his various careers in coaching, product leadership and consulting, acting has always remained a passion. Over recent years, Mark has worked with hundreds of actors in workshops on the act of learning lines, honing the strategies introduced in his book, Learning Your Lines: The Compact Guide.

Mark's other books on memory improvement include Improve Your Memory and The Memory Workbook.

Mark’s work as a trainer includes running high-performance memory workshops for Understanding ModernGov, Guardian Masterclasses, BBC, Clarasys, WeWork, Salon Club, Also Festival, NextRadio, ICAEW and more.

What Can You Expect From Mark’s Training?

You’ve lost your keys. Or your phone. You can’t remember your new colleagues name, or that important thing you really wanted to say at the end of a meeting.

Through practical exercises, you will discover the importance of rehearsal for forming strong memories, drawing on science to tap into how the memory works as well as the effective strategies that can help you to improve your own ability to store and retrieve information.
