Dr Clive Bright
Knowledge Management Consultant
Dr Clive Bright is an independent consultant with over 30 years’ experience in knowledge, information, and change management.
Working at both a strategic and tactical level a key focus of Clive’s work has been on improving approaches to identifying and managing an organisation’s key knowledge and information assets: bringing change through people, process and technology. This has involved approaches such as: developing knowledge transfer and training programmes; setting up internal knowledge networks; and using collaborative technologies to facilitate improved access and sharing of information and knowledge.
Clive has worked across a range of industry and business sectors. Prior to working as an independent, Clive has worked for Lloyd’s Register, as Global Knowledge Manager for their energy division; for British Nuclear Fuels in their safety and risk management function; and as head of Knowledge Management for NuGeneration a nuclear new build company.
Clive has presented at numerous national and international forum, and delivered internal and public training on the topic of KM. For the past 3 years Clive has worked with the UK National Archives community to develop and deliver training on ‘Succession planning and knowledge retention and transfer’.
Clive holds a first degree in Psychology and Cognitive Studies’ and a PhD in ‘ User interface design for knowledge based systems’.
