Phil Cracknell

Breach Specialist and CISO

Phil is regarded as one of Europe’s leading information security experts. He has held 8 CISO roles across five different industry sectors spanning 30 years. 

His experience has been gained in a variety of high-profile technology and security management roles, enabling him to offer a unique and captivating insight to the world of information security, breach response, cyber-threats and risk management. 

Serving as Group Security & Risk Advisory to Arriva Plc. (2015), Advisor to the Board of Camelot UK (2016/17), a board advisor retained by HomeServe plc (2017-18) and more recently Phil served as the cyber security SME for the Cabinet Office (2018-2019) where he lead the cyber assurance departmental security health check (DSHC) project. He is currently the board advisor and CISO for IP Performance and CISO for Utility Networks. 

In 2014, Phil developed and has been delivering his own Cyber Breach Workshop on a monthly basis. Now in partnership with SOCITM and IP Performance, Phil delivers the two day workshop which helps organisation create a cyber incident playbook and puts them through their paces with a simulated breach scenario. Over 1500 people have attended the workshop from almost 1,000 different UK organisations.
